‘Warmth, community, welcome:’ broker isn’t describing her new home—she’s describing her new workplace

ANACORTES, WA, November 18, 2021 –

Amelia Johnson is now at RE/MAX Gateway in Anacortes, WA.

Here’s how you know your brokerage is good: when competing brokerages refer a rising star to your company.

Amelia Johnson was introduced to RE/MAX Gateway in Anacortes, Washington, by respected competitors.

“I researched, called, and interviewed Island County real estate companies,” Amelia said. “Everyone, competition included, pointed me to RE/MAX,” she laughed. “Your commitment to training up-and-coming agents was cited. And, I was told, ‘You need to talk to Blake.’”

Training and teamwork

In his own RE/MAX house and in other brokerages, Gateway Broker/Owner Blake Boatman is known for exceptional education that goes way beyond basic training. He understands client needs, market conditions, broker traits—and most importantly, how to innovate to get results.

Training and teamwork appealed to Amelia, licensed in 2018, and relocating from Virginia. “I love this field, and my passion is learning.” Amelia brings qualities of so many in the millennial and Z generations: she’s curious, adaptive, and hard working.

Even her broker photo communicates her savvy. “I did a lifestyle shoot to show that I’m down-to-earth and unique,” she said. “I wanted to convey something specific.”

Passion is first-time home-buyers

Amelia has experience in a variety of real estate sectors: luxury, listings, relocation, distressed properties, investments, and new construction. But it’s no wonder she’s passionate about first-time home buyers.

Her husband is active Navy. With military moves being the norm, calling a place home is even more important.

Her most memorable client is a military man who just closed on a third contract with Amelia. “In a year-and-a-half, this gentleman bought his first home, at the start of pandemic. He bought a second home. He then sold that first home for a $22,000 profit.”

RE/MAX is not “Hunger Games’

What does Amelia like best about RE/MAX? “Agents say hello to me.” She explained, “I came from a market that resembled the intense vibe of ‘Hunger Games.’ I just didn’t expect all of this support, training, and marketing.”
