Tara Gilligan Reimer

Tara joined RE/MAX Whatcom County in March 2021 as Director of Client Services, at the Sudden Valley branch at 1937 Lake Whatcom Boulevard. She has 25 years of experience in marketing, writing, and collaborating with energetic work teams.

I am: Joyful and grateful. Also, focused and organized, and recently a better collaborator from volunteering with shining talents at my child’s school.

Born in: Utica, New York, near the Adirondack mountains; spent summers in the Santa Cruz, California mountains; and now lives on Lookout Mountain in Sudden Valley.

Proudest Moment: Working as a shoe dog with Al Reimer at Fairhaven Runners, marrying Al, and cherishing our sweet boy.

Biggest Challenge: Tearing myself away from a sewing project. My mom has been teaching me and my sister how to sew and embroider. At the end of a day, it is so soothing and creative, to work with the color and pattern of fabric, needle, and thread.

Alarm Clock: 5 am.

First Job: Camp counselor—lashed a tree bed and spent summers under Santa Cruz, California stars.

Superhero Power: Humility

Inspiration: The joy of who I belong to, my family. My husband’s warmth; our child’s sense of justice; my sister’s all-out toughness; my brother’s work ethic; my parents’ devotion to each other and to us. They–and their families–are the fuel of my life. Blessed are we!

RE/MAX Is: Female-owned and deftly led. Realtor-empowered. Focused on serving you—to find or sell the place that will make your dreams come true.
